This section is here to help you end all confusion about what to stock in your kitchen! My Food Bible shows you all the ingredients I use on a regular basis. I frequently get asked questions about what dairy alternatives to use, what unrefined sugar is, what carbs to eat, and so on. Here you will find all the healthy alternatives I choose, that fit my lifestyle!

MY PANTRY IS FULL OF NUTRIENT RICH SOURCES OF FOODS THAT ARE GLUTEN, DAIRY & REFINED SUGAR FREE AS WELL AS 100% PLANT BASED, BUT... 

Eating plant-based, gluten free and refined-sugar free DOES NOT mean picking up anything in the supermarket that has a fancy label on it promising to provide you with only natural ingredients! Unfortunately many food brands out there are not always transparent on their packaging and this leads to many of us blindly being mislead.

Thankfully though there are a growing number of companies that are ethical and trustworthy when it comes to what goes into their products and the transparency of their labelling, and so to help you get an idea of where to start buying quality ingredients that serve to nourish you fully, I have linked each product to the brand I buy from!

"BUT EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE... !"  YOU SAY

Yes healthy eating, and especially buying organic produce can be unaffordable and inaccessible to the vast majority of people. HOWEVER, if you think of your health as your greatest investment then your choices shift from buying for quantity to buying for quality. Remember that we tend to over eat, and mostly consume empty calories that do little if not nothing to actually nourish us.

This is why diet related disease is only on the rise, and in order to change this we need to shift our priorities from buying into convenience fast foods to cooking from scratch, at least most of the time.  In the long-run, this is actually financially viable too, as many of the ingredients you can find in this section will last you months. 

THINK LOCAL

While I have focused on the best value for money products for each ingredient included in my food bible, I also strongly advise you to visit your local farmers market and small local supermarkets for good value, affordable produce. Although some may not be certified as organic, many of them still practice organic processes but struggle to get their seal of approval due to the costs and heavy amount of paper work involved!
